I’d like to thank Michael Legel of Tremont for his letter to the editor that was published in today’s Daily Times. Sometimes I wonder if I’m talking to myself here, and it’s nice to see someone with the same perspective in print.
Money Quote:
School consolidation is more about saving money. Comparing test scores is a straw argument to support a financial desire.
Exactly! Like Mayor Mackaman said at the Community Update back in September: “some people want caviar service on a dimestore budget” *. That’s Jim Mangan and Mike Noyes. Don’t let them fool you that they’re promoting educational reform.
* I unfortunately don’t recall the exact quote, but I think I have the spirit of it. If I remember correctly, Mackaman’s exact words were quoted in the Daily Times article on the Community Update … but that’s locked away in the over-priced Daily Times archive.

Michale Legel of Tremont (also known as the Tremont Turd by his ex-co-workers) wrote on his website: “People must be become politically and VISIBLY active in changing our government. We cannot hope to succeed in the face of a government which does not serve the people.”
Ummmm, maybe he only meant this for those other UAW crazies like himself who led their members down the drain. But regardless, the statement and his shallow letter shows he is a hypocrite. Seems to be a trait of booger blogers.

You seem obsessed with nasal secretions, Matt. Do you have anything to say that wouldn’t sound immature coming out of a 3rd grader, let alone an adult?
Jim Mangan “serves” the people by giving them 1/6 of the truth but ignoring the other 5/6, by insulting hard working educators and administrators in District 108 and by offering an EMPTY solution to the real problems faced by students in Pekin schools. How does that “serve” the people of Pekin? It doesn’t.
