The Illinois Association of School Administrators will be honoring District 108 Superintendent Don White with the IASA Exemplary Service to Education Award at their annual conference on April 26. From their website:
The IASA Exemplary Service to Education Award is presented to individuals in recognition of exemplary leadership contributions to Illinois public schools, the field of school administration and students.
I guess I should thank Jim Mangan and his cohorts for helping to drive this menace to Pekin schools away from our community.
[end sarcasm]
Congratulations, Don. You deserve it.

KiD,
All I can say is that Dr. White is well deserving of this award. The gentleman puts in countless hours(usually arriving at work @ 5:30 am) and also volunteers within the community. He truly has the work ethic that is deserving of our children in this town. Kudos to him. (and he doesn’t do it for the notoriety)
Too bad that certain people couldn’t see him for what he’s worth. It’s a huge loss to the community.
