Rove Retreats

Karl Rove, Bush’s political hit man, is leaving the White House. As you might expect, I’m utterly heartbroken.

I doubt Rove will be completely excised from the halls of power, but hopefully his malignant influence will begin to wane. It will be interesting to see if any Republican ‘08 contender adds him to their entourage.

Addendum (8/14/07): Ms. PH is a fellow Rove fan, I see.  Heh.

This has nothing to do with the above subject, but who are the clowns writing in under all the “porn” in their screen name? I’ll bet they are one in the same. They need to get a life.

Frankly, I really don’t care about Rove; he was overrated in my opinion. I don’t see his leaving as that big of a deal.

    Sour grapes.

Sour grapes? The man has played a large role in turning an entire generation against the Republican party. If he wasn’t so despicable, I’d give him a big giant kiss.

    Ollie,
I agree that Rove’s early exit is likely to be largely symbolic, especially as Bush enters the lame duck period of his presidency. The cancer that truly needs to be excised from the executive branch is Dick Cheney. He’s the last remaining puppetmaster.

Ohhhh wait … I forgot. Cheney’s not a part of the executive branch.
