My wife and I participated in the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce “Chamber Challenge” trivia night last night at the Moose Family Center. We enjoyed ourselves, and the Pekin Hospital team placed 2nd overall. “The Know It Alls” from Herget Bank won the night – apparently for the third second year in a row. Council Member Barb Strand and City Manager Dennis Kief also joined in the fun, and Chamber Executive Director Bill Fleming served as MC. Barb’s group was just edged out for the Team Spirit award by a group wearing cowboy hats and, of course, bandanas.
Look out next year, Herget Bank … we’re gunnin’ for ya!

Thanks KiD. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Next year I promise a “medical” category. Actually, A Pekin Insurance team won the first year, and now Herget’s team has two in a row. The Pekin Hospital’s team, with a changing line-up each year, has always been one of the top scoring teams. But, the important thing is everyone had fun.

Thanks for the clarification. Herget’s dynasty is short-lived … and hopefully we’ll end it next year!
I’m sure you looked this up, too … but the 5th graders were correct. A prime number has to have TWO unique divisors – one and itself. The number one only has ONE unique divisor, so is therefore not a prime number.

Hey-please consider coming the the Tazewell County CAC’s Trivia Night 2008 April 11, 2008 at the new Embassy Suites. Its a good time for a GREAT cause!
