Maid-Rite in Pekin

So THAT is what’s going in the old Hardee’s building on Court & Parkway. The Maid-Rite dining franchise is coming to Pekin.

I couldn’t understand why that spot was vacant for so long … at least the two years that I’ve lived here. Court & Parkway is probably the busiest intersection in Pekin, and the lot sits right next to the high school. I’d think that would be a prime spot for an eatery. Apparently Kevin Kraft of Washington, the franchise owner, thinks so too.

Maid Rite in Pekin has some of the worse customer service ever. I do not suggest this place to anyone. You have people who know what they are doing and than you have the ones you know nothing. They have to many employees have about 10 even a few of the managers I have seen are more lost than the employees. I believe on is Dan Allen he is clueless when it comes to how to deal with his employees or even how to run the resturaunt. I believe if you are going to have a general manager he should know how to do anything the job should throw your way. That is my experiance at Maid-Rite in Pekin they need more experiance and less drug users that are more worried if there is a white car outside yet I am in the bathroom cleaning just come in here.

First, I’d give the place some time to work the kinks out. It just opened a couple weeks ago, and it’s been incredibly busy from what I’ve seen. Of course there are going to be some speed bumps.

Second, I might respect your complaint more if you had a basic command of spelling and grammar. I seriously hope you’re still in 6th grade, because that’s the writing level you just demonstrated.

Sorry, I was in a hurry typing this and I never went back to proof read it. I have very good grammer skills and my spelling is good also. If this store has been open for a few weeks why is it so unorganized when you have a guy in there that has managed Hardees for 20 plus years and he seems clueless? If the store is busy why did they cut the hours back?? and now they are closing earlier. Does not make sense to me. I just want people in Pekin to know there are better places to eat and if they continue getting rid of the good employees or if they keep quitting this place is never going to be as professional as it should be.

First, apologies for the snark, but I could barely understand the point you were trying to make in your first post.

I’m not going to become a regular customer of Maid-Rite because I think their prices are high and their portion sizes small. Perhaps smaller portions are a good thing when it comes to health & obesity, but then they shouldn’t charge MORE for them. I have no complaints regarding their customer service, although I’ve been there (drive-through only) a grand total of three times. On all three occasions my order was correct and provided in a timely manner.

As I said, I wouldn’t expect things to be ideal this shortly after opening. I worked at a Hardee’s in high school. I know that all it takes to gum up the works is one inexperienced, dumb &/or lazy employee anywhere along the chain, and managerial experience can’t do anything to help that. They also have to deal with high employee turnover like any other fastfood restaurant.

True very true, thank you for listening I know they have lost a lot of good employees and they have one in gerneral that is not experianced and he is running them off and next will be the customers. Hope things work for Kevin Kraft. I believe he also owns Camille’s out at the mall in Pekin
