… but I really like this theme, so we’ll just go with it.
BTW, playing with my thingy was precipitated by Billy playing with BlogPeoria’s thingies. Blame the Blogfather.

Who Am I Kidding? Ads???

August 4th, 2008 · 2 Comments

WidgetBucks go bye-bye now. I’ll have to give up the $2.35 I’ve made over the past 6 months, but I’m will to make that sacrifice to de-clutter my blog.

Local Anchor Now Blogging

January 6th, 2008 · 11 Comments

One Year Later in Dragonland

August 17th, 2007 · 12 Comments

It’s my one year blogiversary, and it’s certainly been an interesting year. A brief recap:
I began my blog anonymously, but came out in the open half way through my first year.
My first controversial stand involved rhetorically taking on Jim Mangan and Mike Noyes in the school district consolidation debate.
My commentary on the local Pekin [...]

New Theme

June 25th, 2007 · 2 Comments

Well, new for me at least. Those familiar with the Peoria area blogosphere will recognize it as Peoria Illinoisan’s old theme.
Apparently PI switched because some readers were having trouble posting their comments. If anyone has a problem posting, please email me at knightindragonland@yahoo.com.
Addendum: I didn’t use widgets with my old theme. Widgets [...]

Blogging Slackery

May 22nd, 2007 · 9 Comments

I know, I know.  I’ve been a big slacker lately.  Bad blogger!
I guess I’ll blame the beautiful weather we’ve been having lately.  I’ve been outside a lot in the last week.
My backyard would be the perfect hangout if it weren’t for all the infernal insects … mostly gnats and mosquitoes.  I collected 25 mosquito bites [...]

Blogization of Traditional Media

January 28th, 2007 · 2 Comments

Is blogization a word?  Well, it is now.
The Times weekend edition has a staff editorial about opening up their web edition for comments.  This feature has been in place for a month or two now, but I guess they wanted to draw attention to it in the print edition.  I found the following comment interesting:

Knight in Spam-a-Lot

January 10th, 2007 · 4 Comments

I just surpassed one thousand spam posts caught in my Akismet filter.  I would have met that illustrious mark sooner, but I was manually deleting them for a while before I figured out the plug-in.
Thanks to Akismet for keeping me cootie-free!
